All work to be performed in the foreseeable future, both well defined and requiring further definition. Effectively, a list of user stories, related to a list of features/capabilities prioritized by the product owner. The product owner represents business owner as well as the end users of the system under build.
User Story:
A user story is a software system requirement formulated as a few short sentences in the everyday or business language of the user. User stories are used with Agile software development methodologies for the specification of requirements (together with acceptance tests).
The user stories should be written by the customers for a software project and are their main instrument to influence the development of the software.
Sprint iteration:
A period of 2, 3 or 4 weeks where a set of work (defined in the Sprint Backlog) will be performed to create a deliverable.
Sprint Backlog:
A set of work (list of user stories) that is well-enough defined that it can be worked on with relatively little change over a period of 30 days or less and will result in a tangible, incremental deliverable.
Scrum Team:
The cross-functional team working on the sprint backlog.
Daily Stand-Up Meeting:
Short and regular daily Stand-Up Meeting chaired by the Scrum Master with the purpose of updating the SCRUM members of the development progress
